Mumbai: Actor Jackie Shroff on Tuesday has voiced his anger over the city’s growing traffic chaos, warning that it can put lives at risk.
In a video shared on Instagram, Shroff was seen caught in heavy traffic alongside an ambulance that could not move forward because of the jam. The visibly concerned actor pointed out how such delays could prove fatal.
“Raaste pe hi dum tod dega (He might lose his life right here on the road),” Shroff said, stressing the seriousness of the problem.
He further questioned whether the solution lies in building better roads or making drivers more responsible. “Toh road banana chahiye ya inn log ko samajhna chahiye, aage driver log ko. Magar itna khopdi kidhar hai (So should better roads be built, or should these drivers up ahead be made to understand? But where’s the sense in their heads?),” he added.
Traffic congestion has been a persistent issue in Mumbai, often delaying ambulances and emergency services. Shroff’s remarks highlight the growing frustration among residents who continue to face the consequences of the city’s gridlock.
