In the forthcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, which begins on June 1, arch-rivals India and Pakistan will square off in New York on June 9.

The stadium, located in Nassau County, International Cricket Stadium on Long Island, will host the highly anticipated match between India and Pakistan.

The United States and the West Indies will jointly host the ninth edition of cricket’s extravaganza, which will feature nine venues and a total of fifty-five matches.

In Group A, India is grouped with Pakistan, the United States, Canada, and Ireland. England, Australia, Namibia, Scotland, and Oman make up Group B. Group C consists of New Zealand, the West Indies, Afghanistan, Uganda, and Papua New Guinea while Group D consists of South Africa, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, the Netherlands, and Nepal.

Following the group stage, the top two teams from each group advance to the Super 8 stage, which is followed by the knockout semifinals and championship match.

The T20 World Cup matches will take place in three American cities: New York, Dallas, and Miami. Interestingly, all of the India matches will take place on American soil.

On June 5, India will begin their campaign against Ireland.

India’s Group A schedule is as follows:

Ireland vs. India on June 5

Pakistan vs. India on June 9

USA vs. India on June 12

Canada vs. India on June 15

According to a senior ICC official, the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 will see more teams than ever before compete in this event, signaling an exciting growth of our sport. Bringing together 20 international teams from Africa, the Americas, Asia, East Asia Pacific, and Europe will be an amazing spectacle.

Following their victory over Pakistan in Melbourne in November 2022, England now holds the title.

June 1–18 is when the group stage matches take place, and June 19–24 is when the Super 8 games take place.

Each Super 8 group’s top two teams will move on to the semifinals.

The 55 matches will take place in three stadiums in the United States (Eisenhower Park, New York; Lauderhill, Florida; Grand Prairie, Texas); six West Indies locations (Kensington Oval, Barbados; Brian Lara Cricket Academy, Trinidad; Providence Stadium, Guyana; Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, Antigua; Darren Sammy Cricket Ground, St Lucia; Arnos Vale Stadium, St Vincent).

There will be 41 games spread over six Caribbean islands. The semi-finals will take place in Trinidad and Tobago and Guyana, while the championship game is slated to take place in Barbados on June 29.
