The depiction of the struggles endured by Vikrant Massey’s character to clear his Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) exam and later the interview in ’12th Fail’ found appreciation from an Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer Parveen Kaswan on X (formerly Twitter).

“Been there three times like this!” wrote IFS officer Parveen Kaswan while sharing a video on X.

The Vikrant Massey-starrer “12th Fail” directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra has received rave reviews from movie buffs, after it was released on OTT platform Disney+Hotstar last week.

The depiction of the struggles endured by Massey’s character to clear his Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) exam and later the interview found appreciation from an Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer Parveen Kaswan on X (formerly Twitter) who appreciated the makers for the real depiction of what occurred inside the UPSC building and admitted to have felt nostalgic after watching the movie.

“What a nostalgic feeling. And such a real depiction of what happens in UPSC building during interview. Been there three times like this !!” Kaswan wrote on Monday.

The officer’s post saw many user comments. Some recalled their own experiences of giving the UPSC exam and the subsequent interview while others appreciated Kasavan for making it three times.

“Give me chills. Reminder of the struggle! Although UPSC interview has always been kind to me,” one user wrote.

“Haha, I can only imagine the nerves! Congrats on making it there three times, perseverance at its best!” another user wrote.

“This scene is purely nostalgic and magical. I am blessed that I got the chance of giving interview once at UPSC and by God’s grace I cleared that,” a third user wrote.

“12th Fail” released in theatres on October 27 and collected over Rs 66 crore at the box office.
