India has launched a powerful counter-offensive under Operation Sindoor, striking key terror bases in Pakistan’s Lahore. The action is being seen as a direct and forceful response to the April 22 terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir. Although India delivered a decisive blow during the night of May 6-7, Operation Sindoor remains active, intensifying tensions across the border.

Reports confirm that Indian missile strikes destroyed several high-profile terrorist hideouts linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed, and Hizbul Mujahideen. Notably, camps associated with Hafiz Saeed and Masood Azhar were among those targeted, creating panic in Pakistani defence circles.

While India has not officially declared the end of the operation, the ongoing offensive has left Pakistan scrambling. In retaliation, Pakistani forces have escalated shelling and mortar fire along the Line of Control (LoC), including attempted drone and missile attacks, which were successfully neutralized by India’s air defense systems.

The situation remains volatile as Pakistan vows revenge, but Indian forces are reportedly on high alert and prepared for further engagement.

Reacting to the developments, former U.S. President Donald Trump issued a strong statement, backing India’s response. “India has responded in kind. It was a message that needed to be sent,” Trump said.

Operation Sindoor marks a significant shift in India’s counter-terror strategy, emphasizing swift and targeted retaliation.
