On 19 October (Thursday), the Cricket World Cup match between Team India vs Team Bangladesh is going to take place at Cricket Stadium in Gahunje. 

Hence, to ensure safe & smooth traffic without any hindrance, the Pimpri Chinchwad Traffic Police has shown the vehicular parking route for people for hassle-free parking.

As per further information from Pimpri Chinchwad Traffic Police, the parking arrangements and routes for four-wheelers and two-wheelers for the spectators coming to watch the India vs Bangladesh match under the Cricket World Cup 2023 have been determined as follows:

·         For VVIPs and VIPs with vehicle pass:

1) Route to Parking for VVIPs and VIPs with Vehicular Pass from Mumbai: From Dehu Road Exit to Expressway Adjacent Service Road to Stadium Adjacent VVIP & VIP Parking.

2) Route of VVIPs and VIPs having vehicular pass to the parking lot coming from Pune:

i) Take left from NH-4 underpass from Kiwale Bridge via Pavana River Bridge to the adjacent Expressway. By service road to VVIP and VIP parking adjacent to the stadium.

ii) Spectators coming via Hanging Bridge take a right at Bhondve Chowk, Krishna Hotel Chowk and proceed through NH-4 underpass and take a left along the service road towards VVIP and VIP parking adjacent to the stadium.

·         For spectators without vehicle pass:

1) Route to Parking for Spectators without Vehicular Pass from Mumbai: Spectators coming from Mumbai will take a U-turn from Mukai Chowk and proceed to General Parking via Service Road.

2) Route to Parking for Spectators without Vehicular Pass from Pune: Spectators coming from Pune will take a left from Pavana River Bridge to Kiwale River Bridge and again turn left to Service Road and will proceed to General Parking via Service Road near Symbiosis College.

c) Route to parking for two wheelers from Pune side straight through Pavana Bridge to Kiwale, Mamurdi, take a left turn from Zakat Nayak and go to the two wheeler parking lot.

Note: 1) As there is no sale of tickets in the stadium premises, persons without tickets should not come to the stadium.

2) If the vehicles are parked elsewhere than the parking system, action will be taken by towing the van.

Along with showing the parking routes, as a large number of spectators will arrive in private vehicles to watch the India vs Bangladesh Cricket World Cup match, there is a high possibility of traffic congestion in the area. In order to ensure safe and smooth traffic in Pimpri Chinchwad city, the following temporary traffic changes are being made:

·         Access to Krishna Chowk from Mamurdi Underpass (Masulkar Farm) is being banned.

Alternate Route – Vehicles coming from Lodha will take a right turn from Mamurdi Underpass and proceed towards Krishna Chowk via Bapdev Buwa.

·         Entry from Mamurdi village towards Mamurdi underpass (Masulkar Farm) is banned.

Alternative Route – Vehicles on the said route will go to the desired destination via Mamurdi Jakat naka.

·         The vehicles in Sainagar area provided parking number 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, 13 are prohibited from going towards Mamurdi underpass side after the match.

Alternative Route – The said vehicles will go to the desired destination via Sainagar Road to Central Chowk or vehicles on the said route will go to their destination via Shitala Devi – Mamurdi Jakat naka.

·         Entry of vehicular pass holders and all other types of vehicles except essential service vehicles going to the stadium from Gahunje Bridge to Y Junction is prohibited.

·         Entry of vehicular pass holders vehicles coming from Mumbai and going from Dehu Road exit to the stadium via the service road adjacent to the expressway, as well as all other types of vehicles except essential service vehicles, is being banned.

The traffic route is being changed as per the requirement in accordance with the India vs Bangladesh ODI World Cup cricket match to be held at Gahunje on 19/10/2023. However, citizens/motorists should use alternative routes.
