Indian-American Developer Buys Matthew Perry’s Los Angeles Home for $8.55 Million
Indian-American real estate developer and film producer, Anita Verma-Lallian, has purchased the late Matthew Perry’s stunning home in Pacific Palisades, Los Angeles, for $8.55 million. Lallian expressed her excitement over the luxurious features of the property, particularly its breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean.
In an Instagram post, Lallian shared her love for the house and emphasized that her decision to buy was based on the beauty of the property, not its tragic history. “We are so excited to share that we bought a home in Los Angeles earlier this month,” she wrote. Her agent, Brooke Elliott-Laurinkus, showed her the off-market property, and Lallian instantly knew it was the one she wanted.

The house, which was previously owned by the iconic “Friends” actor Matthew Perry, is where he was found dead in 2023. Despite its past, Lallian highlighted her focus on the positive aspects of the home. As a Hindu, she performed a customary ‘puja’ and prayer ceremony with her family before moving in, to bless the property and honour Perry’s legacy.
“We were so lucky to have our Panditji from Arizona come to the house for the blessing,” Lallian mentioned. She believes that every property carries the energy of its owner, and she wanted to honour the joy and immense talent that Perry brought to the world.
The real estate purchase drew attention, especially after Lallian shared pictures and a video of the home on Instagram. She clarified that her decision to buy the property was solely out of love for its features, particularly the view of the Pacific Ocean. “The moment I walked into the home, I absolutely fell in love,” she said.
The heartfelt gesture and the spiritual ceremony have been well-received, as Lallian moves forward with plans to make new memories in her beautiful Los Angeles home.
