Pune: Chandrakant Patil, the recently appointed Guardian Minister of Solapur district, made his first visit to Solapur on Sunday night.

During his stay at the government rest house, an activist from an organization threw blue ink at him in protest against the government’s policy of privatizing government jobs. The incident caused chaos and tension in the premises.

As per the information provided, police immediately detained the youth named Ajay Mendergikar, who belongs to the Bhima Army organization. It is worthy to note that last month, the then Guardian Minister Radhakrishna Vikhe-Patil was also attacked at the same government rest house by Shekhar Bangale, coordinator of the Dhangar Reservation Action Committee. As a result, the police are on high alert to prevent any untoward incidents during the visit of every minister to the government rest house.

As per the information received, police were checking everyone coming to the rest house on the occasion of Chandrakant Patil’s arrival. Shekhar Bangale, who had earlier attacked Vikhe-Patil, had also come to submit a memorandum to Chandrakant Patil. However, the police were alert and took him into custody. During the meeting with the minister, Ajay Mendergikar crossed the police security line and threw ink on the minister. The protesters waved black flags and shouted slogans of ‘Bharatiya Janata Party Murdabad’ before throwing the ink.
