In Keshav Nagar, anticipation has turned to frustration as a fully constructed underbridge connecting the area to Amanora lies idle, despite being completed for several weeks. The bridge, touted as a potential solution to traffic congestion and a boon for residents of Keshav Nagar, remains inaccessible to the public, sparking confusion and inconvenience.

The underbridge spanning from Keshav Nagar to Amanora Park Town has been completed for over a month, complete with lights, a cemented road and painted surfaces, according to local residents. However, it sits unused, even as its lights illuminate the night sky. The lack of information from authorities has left residents bewildered about the delay in opening the bridge for public use.

According to the statements given by Chaitanya Sharma, a resident of Mundhwa, one of the main obstacles to opening the bridge appears to be a land issue on the Amanora side, where road connectivity is lacking. Without a road connecting to the bridge, residents remain unaware of its existence, exacerbating traffic congestion in the area. With only one exit route through the railway crossing, which operates as a one-way route, navigating through the area has become increasingly challenging, especially during peak hours.

He further added that there has not been any communication with the PMC about the bridge so far. Frustrated by the lack of progress, residents are calling for swift action to resolve the impasse and open the bridge for public use. They highlight the potential benefits of the bridge, including the ability to bypass Mundhwa Chowk and the railway crossing, providing direct access to Hadapsar, Amanora and Magarpatta. They emphasise the urgent need for improved connectivity to alleviate traffic congestion and improve the quality of life for residents in Keshav Nagar.

There has not been any response or take from the Pune Municipal Corporation on the issue as of yet.
