Google Doodle Today: Celebrating the Skateboarding Events at Paris Olympics 2024
Today’s Google Doodle highlights the kick-off of the new skateboarding events at the 2024 Paris Olympics, as per the official schedule. The 2024 Paris Summer Games, which officially started yesterday, are in full swing. On July 27, Google is celebrating the skateboarding events scheduled at Place de La Concorde with an animated doodle. This fun illustration features a group of chickens skateboarding on a house roof.
The Google Doodle today marks the skateboarding events for men, which consist of two rounds. The men’s street prelims are set for the afternoon, followed by the final round in the evening. Skateboarding is one of the four new sports introduced this year, alongside breaking, surfing, and sports climbing, adding to the 28 traditional Olympic sports.
Athletes from over 200 countries have gathered in the French capital to compete in 329 events across 32 sports disciplines for the Paris Olympics 2024. The Games, which began on July 26, will run until August 11. This year marks the 33rd edition of this quadrennial event.
