A video showing an Ola Foods delivery partner eating a customer’s order has sparked outrage and raised questions about delivery service standards.

In a shocking incident, a Noida-based entrepreneur, Aman Birendra Jaiswal, discovered his meal being eaten by the delivery partner from Ola Foods. The incident, captured on video and shared on social media, has quickly gone viral, garnering widespread attention and raising concerns about the quality and integrity of food delivery services.

Jaiswal had ordered food from Burger King via Ola Foods on July 21. He was stunned when he found the delivery driver, named Ajay, eating his fries while sitting on his parked motorcycle. The video shows Jaiswal confronting Ajay, who responded brazenly, “Haan toh karte raho jo karna hai” (Do what you will). When reprimanded, Ajay nonchalantly replied, “Kya karun?” (What should I do?).

The situation began when Ajay called Jaiswal demanding an extra ₹10 for delivering the food, over and above the existing delivery charge. Despite initially refusing, Jaiswal eventually agreed to pay the additional amount. However, even after agreeing, Jaiswal was left waiting for 45 minutes. When he finally located the delivery driver, he found him eating the order meant for Jaiswal.

Jaiswal shared his frustration and disbelief on Instagram, posting the video along with a caption that read: “Ola this is how your food delivery partner are doing their job, first he said I’ll take extra ₹10 for coming, after denying for the first somehow I said ok come I’ll give and then he kept me waiting for almost 45min and when I found him this is what he said [sic].”

Ola Foods operates a chain of 40 cloud kitchens across major cities, including Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Pune. This incident has raised serious questions about the practices and professionalism of its delivery partners.

The viral video has sparked a wave of reactions online, with many expressing shock and outrage at the delivery driver’s behavior. Some have called for stricter measures to ensure the integrity of food delivery services, while others have shared their own negative experiences.

The video also reached social media platform X, where it has been viewed over 1 million times. The incident sparked outrage and amusement in equal measures.

“Galat hai ye. Chori upar se seena zori,” wrote one commenter. “This is why I prefer Zomato,” another said.

“Accurate description of Budget 2024,” an X user quipped.

“Worst ever food delivery service, worst app Ola. Hope people stop using it,” a person wrote

As the video continues to circulate, it remains to be seen how Ola Foods will respond to this incident and what steps will be taken to prevent such occurrences in the future.
