Pune, January 12, 2025: The inauguration of Judicare Academy was held at the Sri Balaji University campus auditorium, graced by several distinguished dignitaries who underscored the importance of legal education and awareness in today’s world.
The event was led by Sri Krishna Prakash, IPS, Additional Director General of Police, Force One, Maharashtra. He highlighted the vital role of collaboration between law enforcement and the legal fraternity to strengthen the judicial system.
Among the notable dignitaries present was Prof. (Dr.) Gangadhar Kashinath Shirude, Vice Chancellor of Sri Balaji University, who reaffirmed the university’s dedication to advancing legal education. Sr. Adv. Harshad Vasantrao Nimbalkar, former Chairman of the Bar Council of Maharashtra & Goa, spoke about the evolving legal landscape and the need for continuous legal learning.
Adding further depth to the discussion, Adv. (Dr.) Ujwala Shinde, Arbitrator/Mediator at the Bombay High Court and IIAM, shared insights into mediation and arbitration, while Dr. Vishwanath Patil, Principal and author in the legal field, emphasized the future of legal pedagogy. Dr. Rahul Bharati, Head & Assistant Professor in Law at the Government Institute of Forensic Science, explored the integration of forensic studies in legal education, and Mr. Avinash Chavan, Deputy Commissioner of GST, provided perspectives on tax law and its implications.

The event also featured virtual contributions from Hon’ble Judge Sri A.N. Sirsikar, Additional Sessions Judge and Special Judge under the MCOC Act, Thane, who provided judicial insights via video message, and Adv. Sri Rajendra Baburao Umap, former Chairman of the Bar Council of Maharashtra & Goa, who stressed the importance of ongoing legal education.
