If you have any pending work at the bank, it’s a good idea to finish it up before July rolls in. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released the list of bank holidays for July 2025, and banks will remain closed for 13 days across different states. While not all holidays are observed nationwide, a few weekends and region-specific festivals will lead to closures in certain cities.

July 3 (Thursday): Banks in Agartala will be closed for Kharchi Puja.
July 5 (Saturday): Banks in Jammu and Srinagar will remain shut for Guru Hargobind Ji’s birth anniversary.
July 6 (Sunday): All banks across India will be closed due to the regular Sunday weekly holiday.
July 12 (Saturday): Second Saturday—a scheduled day off for banks across the country.
July 13 (Sunday): Another Sunday, meaning a nationwide bank holiday.
July 14 (Monday): Banks in Shillong will remain closed for the Beh Denkhlam festival.
July 16 (Wednesday): Banks in Dehradun will observe a holiday for the Harela Festival.
July 17 (Thursday): In Shillong, banks will remain shut to mark the death anniversary of U Tirot Singh.
July 19 (Saturday): Banks in Agartala will be closed due to Ker Puja.
July 20 (Sunday): Regular Sunday holiday—banks nationwide will remain closed.
July 26 (Saturday): It’s the Fourth Saturday, a scheduled off day for banks all over India.

July 28 (Monday): Banks in Gangtok will be shut on account of Drukpa Tshe-ji.
Even though branches may be closed, core banking services won’t stop entirely. Digital banking platforms—like mobile apps, net banking, ATMs, and UPI—will continue to function as usual. You can transfer money, pay bills, or check balances anytime. However, some tasks—like cheque clearances, cash deposits at the counter, or submitting physical forms—might need an in-person visit, which won’t be possible on these holidays.
