The Union Health Ministry clarified on Thursday that there is currently no consideration to make RT-PCR tests mandatory at airports. The surge in cases is attributed to the new variant JN-1, but the ministry emphasized that 92 percent of those affected are recovering through treatment and isolation at home, alleviating immediate concerns.
