Khalistani Terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun Issues Warning Against Air India Flights from November 1-19
Pannun claims potential attacks coincide with the 40th anniversary of the anti-Sikh riots, urging the Sikh community to avoid Air India during this period.
In a chilling announcement, Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun has warned passengers to avoid flying on Air India between November 1 and 19, suggesting a potential attack coinciding with the 40th anniversary of the anti-Sikh riots. The founder of Sikhs for Justice (SFJ), who holds dual citizenship in Canada and the United States, made the threat public on Monday.
Pannun’s warning comes after multiple airlines in India recently received hoax bomb threats. The timing of his message is particularly significant, as it aligns with ongoing diplomatic tensions between India and Canada, which arose after allegations that India was targeting Khalistani elements, including the assassination of Hardeep Singh Nijjar.
Pannun’s history of threats includes targeting Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Gaurav Yadav, Director General of State Police, suggesting an attack on Republic Day, January 26. Since July 2020, Pannun has been designated a terrorist by India’s Ministry of Home Affairs due to charges of sedition and secessionism. SFJ has been banned in India as an “unlawful association” for engaging in anti-national and subversive activities.
On October 17, the United States charged a former officer of India’s Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) with directing a foiled plot to assassinate Pannun—a claim that New Delhi has dismissed as unfounded.
In a video, Pannun urged the Sikh community to refrain from traveling on Air India flights, stating, “Your life can be in danger.” He also claimed that Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport would be renamed and suggested it would be closed on November 19. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has previously charged Pannun with criminal conspiracy, promoting religious enmity, and violating the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).
In December 2022, Pannun had threatened to attack the Indian Parliament around the anniversary of the 2001 terrorist attack, further illustrating his ongoing hostility toward Indian authorities. Currently, Pannun remains a fugitive, actively evading law enforcement while living abroad.
