Pune: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has been served with a notice by the Maharashtra Labour and Employment Department after a complaint was lodged against the company for allegedly delaying the onboarding of lateral recruitments.

As per further information, several TCS executives are requested by the Labour Department notice to meet with department representatives and discuss the matter on November 2 at the Pune Labour Department office.

In a complaint submitted to the Indian government’s Ministry of Labour and Employment, NITES underlined the fact that several professionals with experience levels ranging from 1.8 to 15 years had been waiting to be onboarded. Many people are in financial difficulties and unable to fulfill their family obligations since they have been waiting for a paycheck for months. The Ministry of Labour and Employment had been requested by NITES to step in and give TCS certain instructions.

NITES has made many demands, one of which is to reimburse the impacted workers for the whole amount of time that their onboarding was postponed. Included in these are giving the impacted workers access to TCS’s employee support programme and working with them to find alternative job options inside the company.
