Leopard Sighted at Dive Ghat on Pune Saswad road : Prompt Search Through Drone Camera Underway In Vicinity
Motorists on Saswad Road were startled on Sunday when they spotted a leopard at Dive Ghat. The incident occurred when the leopard was hit by an unidentified vehicle while attempting to cross the road, leaving many bikers in a state of shock.
A quick response was initiated as the Forest department rushed to Dive Ghat. By the time they arrived, the injured leopard had retreated into the dense forest. The forest department promptly launched a search operation using a drone camera, but unfortunately, the elusive leopard could not be located.
The dramatic encounter took place on the road between Vadki and Saswad, precisely near Vitthal Murthy (Lord Vitthal Idol) in Dive Ghat. The injured leopard initially struggled to rise due to its leg injury but eventually managed to stand. However, its mobility was severely restricted, preventing it from escaping.
The presence of the leopard so close to bystanders, who captured the encounter on camera, caused a traffic standstill, resulting in a temporary road closure as citizens watched the extraordinary event unfold.
