Maharashtra extends application deadline for Mukhyamantri- Majhi Ladki Bahin Scheme
The initiative is a sign of relief for women aged between 21 to 65 years, assisting them with financial help.

The Maharashtra government has extended the deadline for the ‘Mukhyamantri- Majhi Ladki Bahin’ scheme to August 31, 2024. Women aged 21-65 years can apply to this initiative and become beneficiaries of Rs. 1,500 per month starting from the 1st of July 2024, informed Monica Randhave, District Women and Child Officer.
Basic approval is required including documents such as residential proof issued 15 years ago, ration cards, ID proofs, school leaving certificates, birth certificates, or Voter IDs. Those without an income certificate of up to ₹250,000 can submit yellow and saffron ration cards as proof.
Additionally, as per reports, the recipients may receive up to 5 acres of agricultural land as well.
In the scheme, unmarried women, eligible women, and those married outside the state are also included in the eligibility criteria.
Randhave mentioned that Anganwadi workers will get a Rs. 50 incentive per online application. The initiative will be a ray of hope and relief for the women in India, enhancing their livelihood and survival.
