The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has launched a robust campaign to recover outstanding property taxes exceeding ₹1 lakh from commercial defaulters. The operation targets non-residential, industrial, and mixed-use properties, including prominent hotels, malls, petrol pumps, theaters, private hospitals, industrial units, showrooms, banquet halls, and educational institutions.

By January 7, 418 properties were seized for unpaid dues amounting to ₹11.37 crore, while 1,511 properties cleared pending taxes of ₹26.92 crore. Despite repeated appeals, defaulters have failed to pay, prompting stricter measures, including publicizing defaulters’ names in newspapers and deploying bands outside their premises.
