Man Caught Filming Inside Ram Mandir Using Hidden Camera in Spectacles
There are often strict rules and regulations that are made for people to follow, especially in places like religious sites where privacy and security are paramount. In the case of the Ram Mandir complex in Ayodhya, these rules include a ban on mobile phones and cameras to protect the sanctity of the temple. Such regulations are crucial to maintaining order and ensuring that everyone can enjoy a respectful and secure environment. However in a recent case, a young man was apprehended while trying to take pictures within the Ram Mandir complex in Ayodhya with a camera hidden in his spectacles. The person known as Jani Jaikumar from Vadodara, Gujarat, was arrested by officials for breaching security measures in the temple premises. Reports indicate that the suspect possessed a concealed camera within his glasses, which he intended to use for capturing unauthorized images of the temple’s inner sanctum.

A young man named Jani Jaikumar from Vadodara, Gujarat, was apprehended for taking photographs of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya using a camera concealed in his glasses.
Security staff at the temple quickly acted after they noticed a light blinking in the young man’s glasses.
“A police official in Ayodhya stated that he was seen taking pictures with the glasses that had a camera, which drew the attention of the security team when the camera light turned on,” he explained.
“The young man was promptly taken into custody after the suspicious device was found. The glasses, which have cameras on both sides and a button for taking pictures, are worth around Rs 50,000,” mentioned SP (Security) Balramachari Dubey.
He also noted that Anurag Bajpai, a jawan from the SSF who apprehended the individual, will be recognized for his alertness.
The detained young man, who is said to be a businessman, is currently being questioned by the authorities and intelligence agencies, according to the report.
This occurrence has sparked calls for improved security protocols at places of worship, especially those of significant national importance like the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.
The temple was constructed following a lengthy legal struggle that concluded in 2019. The Supreme Court awarded the contested land for the establishment of a Hindu temple while also providing a nearby plot for Muslims to build a mosque. The temple was made accessible for darshan just one day after the consecration of Ram Lalla in the sanctum sanctorum on January 22, 2024.
