Martyrdom day of Sepoy Pandurang Salunkhe held in Salunke Vihar

Martyrdom day was observed at Salunke Vihar society on December 6. 
50th Martyrdom day of Sepoy Pandurang Salunkhe, MVC (Posthumously) was observed at Veer Salunke Memorial near the main gate. Lt. Gen B T Pandit, PVSM, Vr.C, retired, former Adjutant General of Indian Army and Gallantry Awardee of Indo Pak War of 1971 was present as the chief guest.

101 Territorial Army Unit of Maratha Light Infantry’s unit gave the honour to Sepoy Pandurang Salunkhe. Anand Saraf from Sainik Mitra Parivar was present too for the function. Local Corporators Prashant Jagtap, Nanda Lonkar and former Corporator Tanaji Lonkar were also present. Wreath was laid by Lt Gen B T Pandit. 

Sepoy Pandurang Salunke was in 15th Battalion of The Maratha Light Infantry.  Lt Col Joglekar compered the event.
