Massive Gold Robbery: 19 kg Stolen from Telangana Bank Swipe Rs 13.6 crore Worth of Gold
In a significant robbery, thieves took more than 19 kg of gold jewelry valued at Rs 13.6 crore from a public sector bank located in Rayaparthy mandal, Warangal district, Telangana, according to police reports on Wednesday.
The crime was uncovered on Tuesday when bank employees noticed the break-in and notified the authorities. Police stated that the burglars utilized gas cutters to gain entry and reach the bank’s main vault, where the gold was kept. Furthermore, the thieves vandalized the CCTV system and stole the digital video recorder, eliminating any possible visual evidence of the crime.
In response to the incident, the police filed a case and initiated a thorough investigation, forming four teams to apprehend the criminals.
