The State Common Entrance Examination Board of Maharashtra has decided to extend the registration deadline for the Common Entrance Test (CET) for Bachelor of Management (BBA, BMS) and Computer Application (BCA) degree courses until April 30th.
This decision comes as a response to the expressed need for more awareness about the exam, which is being held for the first time in the state.
The All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) has recently decided to streamline the admission process for BCA, BBA, and BMS degree courses, similar to the approach taken for MBA and MCA programs. As a result, CET will serve as the mandatory entrance exam for admission to these courses, with the State CET Cell overseeing the process.
Currently, 48,182 students have registered for BBA, BMS, and BCA course admissions through CET. However, with the registration deadline extended, students now have the opportunity to apply until April 30th. Additionally, the deadline for the entrance examination of MBA and MCA integrated courses has also been extended to April 30th. The CET for BBA, BMS, BCA courses, as well as MBA and MCA integrated courses, will take place from May 27th to 29th.
Furthermore, the CET Cell has reported that 54,413 students have already registered for the entrance exam of the B.Sc Nursing course.
The registration deadline for this course has also been extended, allowing students to apply until April 25th.
These extensions aim to ensure that all eligible students have ample time to register and prepare for the upcoming CET exams, thus facilitating a smoother admission process for the various degree courses offered.
