A disturbing case of alleged misconduct involving minor schoolgirls has come to light in Pune, prompting immediate action by alert citizens and social activists. The incident, which has sparked serious concerns about child safety, was exposed with the help of the Patit Pavan Sanghatana.

A few days ago, a local woman approached activist Lakshmi Kadam with shocking information. She reported that Rasool Attar, a school van driver, had been regularly transporting minor girls from various Pune schools but was allegedly not dropping them directly home. Instead, he was reportedly taking the girls to isolated locations where he engaged in inappropriate and coercive behavior.

Upon receiving this information, members of the community came together and decided to keep a close watch on Rasool Attar. What they discovered deeply disturbed them. According to observations and further interactions with the victims and their families, it is alleged that the driver attempted to manipulate the girls by calling himself their future husband, pressuring them to marry him.

On Saturday, April 19, 2025, Rasool Attar was reportedly caught red-handed by a group of vigilant citizens. Enraged by the situation, the crowd confronted him and later handed him over to the Nanded City Police Station. It has been confirmed that the police have taken him into custody.

The exposure of this case is credited to the efforts of the Patit Pavan Sanghatana, Pune, with key contributions from vigilant women including Pooja Kadam, Reshma Pokale, Vaishali Chipalkatti, Sushma Pawar, and Archana Potdar. The operation was conducted under the guidance of the organization, and several individuals played an active role in bringing the matter to light, including Ashish Benkar, Tejas Pabal, Akshay Undare, Saurabh Kulkarni, Ganesh Sakhare, Ganesh Khamkar, Shivam Sawant, Sachin Sonawane, Ajinkya Jadhav, Abhishek Dhumne, Vijay Adagale, Viraj Nivangune, Pratik Pol, and Vaibhav Thopte.

Authorities are expected to investigate the matter thoroughly to ensure justice and prevent such incidents in the future.
