A missing person’s case in Pune’s Dighi area took a devastating turn on Thursday morning when the body of an 18-year-old girl was discovered at the bottom of a 45-foot-deep well in Choviswadi, Charholi.

The deceased, identified as Vaishnavi Ingwale, had been missing since June 25. Her worried family had filed a complaint at the Dighi Police Station after failing to locate her. During the ongoing search operation, a cloth item believed to belong to Vaishnavi was found near a well close to her home. This led authorities to initiate a detailed search of the area.

Upon the discovery, the fire brigade was called to assist. An underwater camera was deployed into the well, revealing Vaishnavi’s lifeless body lying at the bottom. Her body was subsequently recovered and sent for autopsy.
