Pune Municipal Corporation Appeals Citizens To Pay Property Tax By June 30 To Avail Discount
Pune, June 27, 2025: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has appealed to citizens to pay their property tax for the financial year 2025–26 before the June 30 deadline in order to avail a discount of 5% to 10%. The Property Tax Department has implemented a structured plan to meet its revenue target for the fiscal year.
According to PMC, there are approximately 14.43 lakh properties within its jurisdiction, and the total property tax demand for 2025–26 stands at ₹2,500 crore. As of June 26, 2025, a total of ₹1,013.25 crore has already been collected from 6,14,635 property holders.
“To encourage timely payment, PMC is offering discounts up to 10% for those who pay before June 30. The civic body has also made various online payment options available to facilitate easy transactions. Citizens can pay through NetBanking, Credit/Debit Card, Bharat QR Code, UPI platforms like Google Pay and PhonePe, mobile wallets such as Paytm and Amazon Pay, NEFT/RTGS, and other channels,” said Avinash Sakpal, Deputy Commissioner, Assessment and Tax Collection Department, Pune Municipal Corporation.
In addition, PMC has kept its Citizen Facilitation Centres open even on holidays, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, to assist residents in making payments.
