MSEDCL commissions two electricity switching stations at Chakan MIDC

Pune : Mahavitaran (Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited) has commissioned 2 electricity switching stations at Chakan MIDC.

As per further information shared by Dilip Batwal, Secretary, Federation of Chakan Industries, Mahavitaran has commissioned two switching stations at Chakan MIDC on 18th December 2023 after continuous follow up by Federation of Chakan Industries. 

With the commissioning of these two switching stations, 7783 industrial, 88084 domestic and 9549 commercial consumers will be provided with quality power supply. The feeders which are overloaded are being strengthened by reducing their load and at the same time these switching stations will be used to strengthen the feeders which are under loaded.

Uninterrupted power supply service will be provided in Chakan, MIDC and localities by doing time-bound repair work. After several follow-ups, the CMD of MSEDCL explained the infrastructure of MSEDCL of Pune Rural Division and immediately sanctioned works of Rs. 500 crores for Chakan MIDC and surrounding area. Many works have been done to improve the infrastructure of MSEDCL in the MIDC area.

The working cost of this switching station is Rs 15.49 crore. A new sub-centre will be commissioned in the next two months. Kingfa 22/22 KV switching station and Hyundai 22/22 KV switching station under the approved plan of Rs.15 crore 49 lakh in Chakan MIDC under power system improvement scheme and many feeders in this area are going to be upgraded next Thursday and due to this, power fluctuations and power failures will be reduced and the industries will get uninterrupted power supply. And due to this, the losses incurred by the industries as well as MSEDCL will not be any more and many grievances of the industries will end.

Prepaid meters will be provided to the customers in a short time, so the problem of arrears will be solved and electricity theft will be stopped.

The Khed Division of MSEDCL is very large and wide spread from Khed to Lonavala. Therefore, there is a heavy workload on an executive engineer and this affects the service of MSEDCL. Therefore, Rajendra Pawar, Chief Engineer of Pune Division of MSEDCL said that in the future, this area will be divided into two sections and a separate section will be started for industries and also a large number of manpower will be made available and uninterrupted power supply service to industries and consumers will be provided by MSEDCL.

Chief Engineer of Pune Division Rajendra Pawar, Secretary of Federation of Chakan Industries Dilip Batwal, Superintending Engineer Jarag, Executive Engineer of Khed Edke and Deputy Executive Engineer Gargote and officials of many companies were present in this program.
