Mumbai: Trailer crashes into parked vehicles in Dharavi, none injured
In an incident that took place in Dharavi, central Mumbai, a trailer lost control and collided with several parked vehicles early Friday morning, resulting in a black-and-yellow taxi and a tempo falling into a nearby creek.
The accident happened around 4:45 am at a T-junction when the trailer driver was unable to maintain control. The trailer struck at least six vehicles parked along the roadside, causing the taxi and tempo to tumble into the creek due to the force of the crash. The trailer itself also slid down the bank, with its driver’s cabin nearly touching the water.
Local police, along with the Mahim traffic wing and fire brigade, quickly arrived at the scene. Traffic police utilized a crane to lift the vehicles out of the creek.
The trailer driver has been apprehended, and a case is being registered at the Shahu Nagar police station.
