Pune, August 9: The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has issued a notice to remove unauthorized encroachments and unlicensed constructions along the Pune-Solapur, Pune-Nashik, Khed (Rajgurunagar) to Sinnar (Nashik), Pune-Satara national highways, and the Shri Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Palakhi route within three days.

Encroachments have been observed along the Pune-Solapur NH-65 from Hadapsar to Hingangaon (Indapur), Pune-Nashik NH-60 from Nashik Fata to Chandohli, Khed (Rajgurunagar) to Sinnar (Nashik) NH-548D from Talegaon-Chakan-Shikapur, Pune-Satara NH-48 from Dehuroad (Pune) to Shendre (Satara), and Shri Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Palakhi NH-965 from Hadapsar to Diveghat. Despite repeated notices from the authority and district administration, some encroachers have yet to remove their encroachments.

The authority has stated that all unauthorized encroachments and constructions along these routes must be removed at the encroachers’ own expense. Otherwise, the NHAI will remove them under the National Highways Control (Land and Traffic) Act 2002, and the costs and penalties will be recovered from the encroachers, according to Project Director Sanjay Kadam.
