NCP Leaders Praise MLA Mahesh Landge for Removing Old Tax Burden from Pimpri-Chinchwad
When the NCP (Nationalist Congress Party) and Congress held power at the national, state, and local levels, we made continuous efforts to address issues such as the Shashtikar(Penalty Tax) and 12.5% compensation. However, it was MLA Mahesh Landge who truly worked to bring justice to landless farmers and lift the burden of the Penalty Tax from the residents of Pimpri-Chinchwad, expressed Yogesh Bahl, city president of the NCP and former mayor. Bahl added that over the past decade, Mahesh Landge has been instrumental in delivering justice to the common citizens of the city.
The NCP recently organized a pledge meeting in support of the BJP-Shiv Sena-NCP-RPI Grand Alliance candidate Mahesh Landge for the Bhosari assembly constituency. Speaking at the event, Yogesh Bahl emphasized Landge’s commitment to solving issues that had long plagued the city.

In attendance at the meeting were several prominent leaders and coordinators of the Grand Alliance, including Vijay Phuge, NCP Women’s City President Prof. Kavita Alhat, former mayor and Bhosari constituency coordinator Mangala Kadam, former corporator Pandit Gawli, former education board chairman Vijay Lokhande, and various NCP officials and activists.
Bahl continued, stating, “To resolve the Penalty Tax issue for Pimpri-Chinchwad, the then-ruling NCP administration, and I personally, as mayor, made repeated appeals to the government. Despite our efforts, the issue remained unresolved. However, it was MLA Mahesh Landge who, through consistent follow-up with the then-Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, managed to resolve this matter. Landge successfully alleviated the burden of the Shashtikar(Penalty Tax) from the people of our city. He also brought justice to the landless farmers by addressing the 12.5% compensation issue. Through these efforts, he has indeed brought justice to ordinary citizens over the past decade.”

Former Mayor Mangala Kadam Urges Unity Within the Alliance
Mangala Kadam emphasized the importance of unity within the alliance, comparing it to a family where members listen to their elders and abide by their guidance. She noted that, as party members, it is crucial to follow the leadership’s decisions. “Our leader Ajit Pawar has set the direction, and we must remain supportive and steadfast in backing Mahesh Landge. The support he receives from the NCP Ajit Pawar faction reflects the love and loyalty of NCP workers. Our duty is to work unitedly for the Grand Alliance,” Kadam asserted.
NCP Will Contribute to the MLA’s Hat-trick Victory: Pandit Gawli
Pandit Gawli expressed confidence in Mahesh Landge’s success, stating, “No one can doubt that Mahesh Landge will achieve a hat-trick victory this time. His work speaks to his success, and the NCP’s support will play a significant role in this achievement. Landge’s sole mission has been to work beyond caste, religion, people, and party. As members of the Grand Alliance, our duty is to support him.”
He further emphasized the responsibility of party members and various cells to secure a lead for Landge and ensure his victory in the legislative assembly elections, fulfilling their role as part of the NCP’s contribution to the alliance.
