Pune: Ivy Estate In Wagholi Celebrates Sixth Annual Chhath Puja, Fostering Community Unity
The sixth annual Chhath Puja celebration at Ivy Estate in Wagholi has brought together neighboring communities with an atmosphere of shared devotion and festivity. This year, residents from Ivy Apartment-Villa, Umang Premiere, Ivy Nia, Umang Homes-Primo, and nearby societies collaborated to organize the event, making it a vibrant, multi-society gathering open to all.
The celebration spans four days, starting on November 5 with the Nahay-Khay ritual, followed by Kharna on November 6. The Evening Arghya will be held on November 7, and the Morning Arghya on November 8 will conclude the festival. These rituals, honoring the Sun God, provide participants a comprehensive experience of Chhath traditions that symbolize health, harmony, and gratitude.
The Vaishali Sanskritik Sanghatana played an essential role in organizing the festivities, with dedicated volunteers ensuring that traditional practices were meticulously followed. Their efforts have created an inclusive environment where families can celebrate and share their culture with the larger community.
In keeping with the spirit of inclusivity, Ivy Estate residents have extended an invitation to people of all backgrounds, promoting unity and cultural exchange. This cross-community event not only celebrates Chhath Puja but also strengthens bonds among diverse groups in the area.
