No official date for inauguration of Pune airport’s new terminal building - Dy CM Devendra Fadnavis

On Monday, December 25, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis stated that no date, not even a provisional one, had been set for the opening of the new terminal building at the Pune airport.
In response to a question regarding the opening of the new terminal at Pune Airport, Devendra Fadnavis stated that the date hasn’t been finalized yet.
In mid-December, the airport was inspected by the chairman of the Airports Authority of India (AAI).
Late in 2017, work on the new terminal building began. The new building was ready, according to airport officials earlier this month, and they were waiting on the Prime Minister’s Office to provide a date for its inauguration.
Up to Rs 475 crore was invested in the new terminal building’s construction.
Leaders in Congress threatened to stage protests last week if the airport’s new terminal building wasn’t put into service by January 1 of the following year
Congress leader Mohan Joshi stated that if the new terminal building is not operational by January 1, the Congress will hold an agitation.
