Now get tea and coffee at affordable rates at Pune’s new airport terminal
Travelers at the new terminal of Pune Airport will soon enjoy affordable tea, coffee, and bottled water. A dedicated stall will soon be set up to offer these items at lower prices compared to other vendors in the terminal.
As per information, currently, the price for tea at the new terminal is around ₹200, while bottled water ranges from ₹60 to ₹80. Although the government has launched the “Udaan” scheme to provide passengers with affordable air travel, many people still find the prices of tea and coffee on the higher side. In contrast, the old terminal offers these beverages at lower prices, which led the passengers to complain about the high costs at the new facility.
To address these concerns, the airport administration is planning to sell tea and bottled water for just ₹20 each. A small stall will be established to serve these items. Currently, the new terminal accommodates around 120 flights, and this number is expected to increase soon. The stall is anticipated to be operational within the next 10 to 15 days.
The issue of overpriced beverages gained attention last week when former Finance Minister P. Chidambaram shared a post on social media, revealing he paid ₹340 for a cup of tea at Kolkata Airport. His post sparked discussions about high prices, leading Kolkata Airport officials to announce an investigation into the matter.
With the new stall in Pune, travelers will soon have access to budget-friendly refreshments, enhancing their experience at the airport.
