Now, Pickup Service For Pregnant And Solo Women At Pune Airport’s New Terminal Soon
At the new Terminal 2 of Pune Airport, pregnant women and solo female travelers will no longer need to go to Aeromall to arrange transportation home. The airport administration has now approved a new pickup service for these passengers.
Previously, only drop-offs were allowed at Terminal 2, and passengers had to travel to Aeromall for pickups. However, the new policy exempts disabled, pregnant, and solo female travelers from this rule. If passengers need assistance, they can inform the cab counter at Terminal 2, and a cab will arrive within minutes.
Currently, this service is in the testing phase and is expected to be fully operational within the next two to three days. Previously, travelers faced congestion at Aeromall, especially with late-arriving flights adding to the crowd. To address this issue, Aeromall administration has introduced important measures, including a pin-based service for cab booking that has received positive feedback. Additionally, cab services have been extended to the first floor, helping passengers secure cabs more quickly.
While there are no restrictions for private vehicles entering or exiting the airport, public cabs were restricted to drop-offs only. With the new pickup service, the airport aims to significantly improve convenience and reduce the stress for travelers in these vulnerable categories.
T2 To Aeromall Records 3000 Travellers Everyday
The airport authorities on the new terminal have provided two electric buses. This bus takes passengers from T2 to Aeromall free of cost. These buses ferries approximately 3000 passengers everyday. Nine golf carts are made available at the airport for passengers.
