Nyati Windchimes and Nyati Chesterfield celebrated World Environment Day

Over 100 residents of Nyati Windchimes, Nyati Estate, Nyati Chesterfield, Nyati Esteban came together to plant trees on the occasion of World Environment Day on June 5 on the stretch between Nyati Chesterfield and Nyati Windchimes. The residents planted several indigenous trees giving the message of creating more greenery and environment conservation. Residents of all age groups participated in the event held at the Miyawaki Forest created on the Nyati Windchimes road stretch.

Shyam Khante, secretary, Nyati Windchimes said, “Today’s tree plantation program was a message to the citizens living around to create more urban forests. Together, we have planted over 8500 trees near our society. In the last 8.5 years have not only planted trees but also nurtured them. We are watering them regularly by using recycled water. The fruit bearing trees that we have planted have brought back over 80 different types of birds in the forest.”

The program saw participation of residents from neighbouring societies and Harish Shroff, Director, Sales and Marketing, Nyati Group.

The event was supported by Kaushal Gupta and Suniel Aiyer who are actively involved in supporting Shyam Khante to conduct this activity.
