Pune: In a disturbing escalation of violence, three unidentified assailants opened fire on the owner of an ice cream shop in Saswad, Purandar taluka, on Thursday afternoon. The victim, Rahul Tilekar, was critically injured and is currently receiving treatment at a hospital in Hadapsar, Pune.

According to police reports, the attack occurred around 3:30 PM when the assailants arrived in a black car, stopped in front of Tilekar’s shop, and began shooting. A bullet struck Tilekar in the stomach, causing severe injuries. Medical professionals have successfully removed the bullet, and Tilekar is now under close observation.
