Over 2.88 Crore Enumeration Forms Collected In Bihar As Special Intensive Revision Gains Momentum
Patna, July 8, 2025: The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise in Bihar is progressing smoothly with active participation from voters and officials, as per the guidelines of the Election Commission of India (ECI) issued on June 24, 2025. The process aims to update electoral rolls ahead of the draft publication scheduled for August 1, 2025.
As of 6:00 PM yesterday, officials have collected 2,87,98,460 enumeration forms, covering 36.47% of the total 7.90 crore electors enrolled in Bihar. In a significant achievement, over 1.18 crore forms were gathered in the past 24 hours alone.
Simultaneously, the uploading of forms on ECINET is underway, with 11.26% of the total electors’ data already digitized. Electors can also download partially filled forms and upload completed ones directly via the ECI portal ([https://voters.eci.gov.in](https://voters.eci.gov.in)) or the ECINET app.
To ensure a smooth process, 77,895 Booth Level Officers (BLOs) are conducting door-to-door visits, while 20,603 additional BLOs have been deployed. Nearly four lakh volunteers, including government staff, NCC cadets, and NSS members, are assisting elderly, differently-abled, and vulnerable voters in completing the process.
On the administrative front, 239 Electoral Registration Officers (EROs), 963 Assistant EROs, 38 District Election Officers (DEOs), and the state Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) are monitoring the drive across all 243 assembly constituencies. Additionally, 1,54,977 Booth Level Agents (BLAs) appointed by political parties are actively supporting the SIR efforts.
With 18 days left for submission, officials expect participation to surge further as awareness grows among voters.
