Over 2,100 Officials Appointed For Vote Counting In Pune District
Pune, November 22: For the vote counting process of 21 assembly constituencies in Pune district, a total of 2,143 officials and staff members have been appointed, including 528 micro-observers, 553 counting supervisors, and 577 counting assistants. An additional reserve staff of 458 officials has also been deployed, according to District Collector and District Election Officer, Dr. Suhas Divse.
The voting across 8,443 polling stations in the district has been completed, and the counting will begin on November 23 at 8 AM. Specific staff allocations for constituencies include 87 for Junnar, 85 for Ambegaon, 77 for Khed Alandi, 90 for Shirur, 57 for Daund, 61 for Indapur, 77 for Baramati, 59 for Purandar, 97 for Bhor, 66 for Maval, 87 for Chinchwad, 98 for Pimpri, 87 for Bhosari, 89 for Vadgaon Sheri, 62 for Shivajinagar, 87 for Kothrud, 80 for Khadakwasla, 93 for Parvati, 93 for Hadapsar, 60 for Cantonment, and 66 for Kasba Peth.
Results will be announced in phases via loudspeakers at the counting centers. Candidates and their representatives are strictly prohibited from using electronic devices such as mobile phones, pagers, calculators, tabs, or electronic wristwatches inside the counting centers. They must wear valid identification throughout the process. Unauthorized personnel will not be permitted to enter the counting premises, as per election authorities.
