Pune: Travelers at Pune airport are expressing frustration over frequent flight delays over the past two to three days, causing major inconvenience. Flights to Delhi and Hyderabad were delayed by over five to six hours on Tuesday and Wednesday, while passengers bound for Prayagraj staged a protest inside the airport on Wednesday.
A passenger scheduled to fly on Air India Express flight IX-1150 at 12:30 AM on February 26, reported a four-hour delay with no clear communication from the airline. He alleged that technical issues made the flight unsafe, yet no alternative arrangements were provided. The flight eventually departed at 6:30 AM on Wednesday, but passengers remained furious over the lack of assistance. In response to the complaint, Air India Express requested booking details for further investigation.
Another passenger, who traveled to Hyderabad on February 25, criticized Alliance Air for poor management. The flight scheduled for 8:30 PM, was delayed until 11:55 PM, leaving passengers stranded with no staff support. He questioned why airlines penalize late passengers but face no consequences for excessive delays.
A frequent flyer raised several concerns with regards to flight delays, poor facility at Aeromall and many other issues faced at the Pune airport urging Union minister for state civil aviation Murlidhar Mohol to look into the issue and resolve it.
