PCMC sets up pediatric Covid Task force

Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 announced that the civic body has formed a task force to set up a Pediatric Covid center. 

This task force shall be led by Dr Deepali Ambike, pediatrics ward, Yashwantrao Chavan Memorial Hospital. Other doctors who shall be in the task force committee are Dr Sharad Agarkhedkar from D Y Patil Medical College, Dr Rahul Kalyanpur from neo – natologist, Aditya Birla Memorial hospital, Dr Sudhir Malwade, Neonatologist, Unique hospital, Dr Manoj Patil, pediatric intensivist, Sterling hospital and Dr Sandeep Shinde, pediatrician, Sterling hospital.

Those children who have lost their parents due to Covid19, shall be searched and their detailed information shall be shared with the District Collector, Pune. A committee has been set up on district level which consists of three members, Ulhas Jagtap, additional commissioner, Ajay Charthankar, deputy commissioner, urban development cell, Anna Bodade, assistant commissioner, slum rehabilitation authority.
