PCMC to get EV charging stations at 20 locations

Rs 17 per unit to be charged from consumers 

The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation on July 5th, 2022 has approved the proposal of setting up electric vehicle charging stations in at least 20 locations in the city. This will be done with the help of a private agency. PCMC will provide the required space for these stations so that people can charge their vehicle batteries here. Also, more people will feel encouraged to buy electric vehicles.  

These stations will be set under the – Build, Operate and Own scheme – for 7 years. These charging companies will get the electricity connection from MSEDCL and then set up electric vehicle stations. The charging company will get Rs 17 per unit from the consumers as a fee.
