PCMC to hold animal connect camp on November 12

Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation and Peoples for Animals organization jointly organized ‘Animal Connect Camp’ at Nehrunagar on November 12, to create affinity among people towards dogs and also to create awareness among citizens about stray dogs. 

‘Animal Connect Camp’ is going to try to strengthen the estranged relationship between nature, humans and animals. The aim behind this is to reduce the fear created in the minds of citizens about stray dogs, to create awareness among citizens about stray dogs. The theme of the ‘Animal Connect Camp’ held at the Municipal Dog Shelter House in Nehrunagar will be based on ‘Learn, Play and Connect’.

Interactive information on various topics will be given in this camp to create awareness among citizens about stray dogs. During the event, the legal rights of animals will be discussed and information about how to give first aid will be given.

Dog therapy will also be offered for specially abled dogs. Deputy Commissioner Dhole of Municipal Veterinary Department has appealed to as many citizens as possible to participate in the innovative initiative ‘Animal Connect Camp’.

“An animal welfare center has been established at Nehrunagar under the Veterinary Department of the Municipal Corporation. Modern facilities have been provided for strays and domestic animals in this place. There is a spacious and well-equipped inpatient ward for stray dogs and many stray dogs are treated here. It has a well-equipped outpatient department for pets. Sonography facility, X-ray facility, modern and equipped hall for all types of surgeries are available here. The Dog Human Conflict Awareness Room is available for citizens, ” informed, Veterinary Officer Dr. Given by Arun Dagde.
