The inaugural journey of the first train will be from Delhi to Darbhanga (Bihar) via Ayodhya, while the second train will run from Malda to Bengaluru. Additionally, on the same day in Ayodhya, the Prime Minister is expected to launch six Vande Bharat Express trains.
Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw highlighted that the push-pull rake employs advanced technology, providing improved acceleration. He mentioned that Prime Minister Modi consistently encourages the integration of new technology in the Railways. Vaishnaw noted that following the Vande Bharat Express, the Amrit Bharat train, utilizing push-pull technology, is prepared for inauguration by PM Modi in the near future.
Ashwini Vaishnaw, on December 25, inspected the newly constructed train at New Delhi Railway Station assessing the cutting-edge technologies incorporated in the passenger vehicle. This initiative aligns with the government’s mission to achieve the target of 4,500 Vande Bharat trains by 2047.

Amrit Bharat Express, earlier being called Vande Sadharan( luxury for common people), has Vande Bharat style aerodynamically designed with innovative ‘push-pull technology’.
The biggest benefit of a push-pull train is faster acceleration which results in reduced travel time.
Trains have been manufactured at the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) in Chennai, Its an eye-catching sight in hues of orange and grey. It has a WAP5 locomotive with 6,000 HP at each end of the train to allow for the “push-pull” operation of the train.
Amrit Bharat Express trains will have 22 coaches with a composition of 8 general second class coaches for unreserved passengers, 12 second class 3-tier sleeper coaches and two guard compartments.
