December 31st is the last day to pay your property tax for second half of financial year 2022-23, announced Pune Municipal Corporation.

Pune: The last day to pay the property tax of the half yearly of the financial year 2022-23 is 31 December, after that, a penalty of 2% per month will be levied from January 1, 2023, informed Ajit Deshmukh, head of property tax and tax collection department of Pune Municipal Corporation.

The property tax department has divided the property tax payment structure for the financial year 2022-23 into two divisions. First division started from 1 April 2022 to 1 September 2022 and the second from 1 October 2022 to 1 March 2023. A penalty of 2% per month has been levied since July 1, 2022, for the delay in paying the first division tax while the penalty of 2 percent for the second division will be charged from January 1, 2023.

The field offices and liaison offices will remain open from 10 am to 4 pm on December 31 (Saturday), where all civic facilitation centres, citizens can pay tax in cash, cheque and demand draft. Also, till March 31, 2023, all the civic amenity centres will remain open on holidays.
