PMPML to give discount on bus tickets for cricket World Cup matches

Pune: The Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Ltd (PMPML) has decided to give a 25% discount on bus tickets for Cricket World Cup matches.
Speaking to Pune Pulse, Satish Gate, PRO, PMPML said, “This discount is part of the special bus service which would be started for Gahunje Cricket Stadium for World Cup Cricket
Matches.”
As per further information, PMPML is trying to increase the use of public transport systems over private vehicles. Also, buses will be provided on a fare basis in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad areas to curb pollution. Now, PMPML will provide buses with a 25 percent discount on Saturdays and Sundays. It has been decided to give a 25 per cent discount on PMPML buses to Gahunje Cricket Stadium for International Men’s Cricket World Cup Matches.
Discounted buses will be provided to commuters, primary, secondary, higher secondary, colleges and private companies. Buses will also be provided on a hire basis for wedding ceremonies, trips and other events. Bus facilities will be provided on casual contract at a moderate rate.
PMPML will have a special bus service to go to watch the Cricket World Cup match at Gahunje Cricket Stadium. This special bus service will be provided to citizens going to watch cricket matches. 5 matches of International ODI Cricket World Cup 2023 will be held in Pune. PMPML has taken this decision for the convenience of cricket lovers going to the World Cup. A special bus facility will be provided by PMPML on the match day.
