Pune, Oct 11 : Conditions are favourable for further withdrawal of Southwest Monsoon from some more parts of Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh; some parts of Gangetic West Bengal and Odisha; some more parts of Karnataka and remaining parts of Telangana, Maharashtra and central Arabian sea during next 2 days.

Day temperatures were above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at most places over Uttar Pradesh, east Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh and Odisha; at many places over Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala and Mahe; at a few places over Uttarakhand, west Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada and Gangetic West Bengal; at isolated places over Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi. They were below normal (-1.6°C to -3.0°C) at a few places over Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan and Muzaffarabad; at isolated places over Gujarat State, west Rajasthan, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Punjab and near normal over rest parts of the country. Yesterday, the highest maximum temperature of 37.6°C was reported at Damoh (east Madhya Pradesh).

Night temperatures were above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at a few places over West Bengal and Sikkim; at isolated places over Odisha, Jharkhand, east Uttar Pradesh, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Rayalaseema, north interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala, Mahe, Rayalaseema, Assam and Meghalaya. They were below normal (-1.6°C to -3.0°C) at isolated places over Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad and near normal over rest parts of the country. Today, the lowest minimum temperature of 17.8°C is reported at Jalgaon (Marathwada) over the plains of the country.

The Southwest Monsoon has been subdued over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, Konkan, Goa, Chhattisgarh, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Rayalaseema and north interior Karnataka.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at many places in Andaman and Nicobar Islands and at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, coastal Karnataka, south Interior Karnataka and Kerala and at isolated places in Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh, east Rajasthan, Konkan and Goa, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Rayalseema and north interior Karnataka. Mainly dry weather has prevailed in Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, west Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat State, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada and Lakshadweep.
