Under the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority i.e. PMRDA, an appeal has been made regarding the removal of unauthorized and dangerous advertisement hoardings, sky signs, boards, banners, flexes in 9 talukas. Accordingly, notices have been given to around 423 people. It has been clarified that official permission should be taken in this regard otherwise action will be taken.

The PMRDA has issued a warning, stating that it will act to swiftly remove any such unauthorized hoardings. Additionally, legal action will be taken against the accountable advertiser organizations in the event that these structures cause accidents.

PMRDA will take action against unauthorized hoarding and flex. Tenders were invited accordingly. As there was no response to the first tender, the tenders were invited again. However, the department is examining the technical aspects of taking action on these hoardings in the background of the Model Code of Conduct.

Out of the nine talukas under PMRDA limits, Mulshi taluka has the highest number of flexes. The survey has revealed that there are 386 flexes in this area. After that information has come to light that there are 231 flexes in Haveli taluk, 120 in Shirur taluk and 111 in Bhor. Velha has 1 while the Purandar has 10 flexes.

Unauthorized hoardings that surpass the height and size restrictions in PMRDA areas—particularly those that are higher than the roofs of high-rise buildings or along national highways—pose a risk during summer winds and are strictly forbidden to avoid possible fatalities or financial losses.
