Thane: In a troubling incident that has drawn attention to child safety, the police in Maharashtra’s Thane district have registered a case against a 42- year-old man for allegedly raping his six-year-old daughter.

According to officials, the accused, who resides in the Dombivli area, reportedly committed this horrific act on multiple occasions since June of this year, specifically when the child was left alone at home. The situation came to light following a complaint lodged by the man’s wife, prompting authorities to take action.

On Saturday, a case was formally filed against him under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. This incident highlights the urgent need for vigilance in protecting vulnerable children and ensuring that justice is served in such grave matters.
