Police Raid Fake Branded Shoe Store In Pimpri-Chinchwad; Counterfeit Goods Worth ₹8.3 Lakh Seized
Pimpri-Chinchwad, March 25, 2026: In a major crackdown on counterfeit goods, the Crime Branch of Pimpri-Chinchwad Police raided a footwear store allegedly selling fake branded shoes under the name of well-known companies. The operation led to the seizure of counterfeit products worth lakhs of rupees.
According to police officials, the raid was conducted by Crime Branch Unit II in the jurisdiction of Kalewadi Police Station. The action targeted a shop and warehouse named “Vicky Footwear,” located near Lucky Bakery in Kalewadi.
During the raid, police seized fake footwear, including slippers, shoes, and flip-flops falsely branded as Puma products, collectively valued at approximately ₹8,30,250.
The shop owner, identified as Vikas alias Vinodkumar Ramnani, has been booked under relevant sections of the Copyright Act and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita at Kalewadi Police Station.
The case was registered following a complaint filed by Neeraj Kumar Narendra Singh Dahiya, an authorized representative of the brand.
Police officials have indicated that further investigation is underway, and there is a possibility that counterfeit products of other major brands may also be present in the store.
