Police Recreation Hall inaugurated in Shivaji Nagar

Police  Recreation Hall was inaugurated and nine new vehicles were handed over to Pune Police Commissionerate on the occasion of Republic Day, January 26,2021 by deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar near Shivajinagar Headquarters of Pune Police. 

The program saw presence of Divisional Commissioner Saurabh Rao, Pune Police Commissioner Amitabh Dasgupta, Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissioner Krishna Prakash, joint commissioner Dr Ravindra Shisave, Additional Commissioner of Police Dr Jalimder Supekar, Dr Sanjay Shinde, Ashok Morale, Deputy Commissioner Bacchan Singh, Priyanka Narnavare, Swapna Gore, Pournima Gaikwad, Assistant Commissioner Satish Govekar, Aba Chemte Bhagyashree Navatake, Cubage company’s Amit Gujwani, Priya Parnerkar. 

In order to strengthen the Pune Police personnel and modernization Pune district Guardian minister Ajit Pawar announced funds of Rs 1 crore and nine new scorpio vehicles from Mahindra company which were handed over to the Pune Police force yesterday. 

These vehicles shall be used for escort and pilot duty. 

Pune Police Recreation Hall was first built in the year 1959. Later in 2005, first floor was built with six retiring rooms for the senior officers. Also a hall to hold functions, social gatherings for the families of the Police personnel was built. In the year 2020 the then Pune Police Commissioner Dr K Venkatesham initiated the process of renovation and extension of the hall. It was completed by the present Commissioner Amitabh Gupta. This initiative was led by Ramesh Sathe, senio police inspector, special branch. Cybage company  through its csr offered air conditioned systems and offered special help to the new building.
