Pune: Bharati Vidyapeeth Police has registered a case against a person from Dhankawadi for allegedly beating up an employee of Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) over cutting illegal power connections.

Speaking to Pune Pulse, Vinayak Gaikwad, Police Inspector, Bharati Vidyapeeth Police Station said, “The incident took place on October 23. The accused, living in Shanti Nagar area in Dhankawadi, did not pay electricity bills since July 2023. Hence, the MSEDCL officials removed the electricity meter.
